About
Literally born on the stage of a grimy punk club, Cupcake and the Professor (CC+P) arose from a beer and sweat fueled open mic to spank the ever-living-shit out of your subwoofers. Floating somewhere between dub and funk with a blend of hip-hop, jazz, and electronica, CC+P's genre refuses to be easily defined. The duo builds a cacophony of sound using live vocals, guitar, and beatbox through loopers and effect pedals… offering up tracks bleeding over from roots reggae to samba to hop-hop to dubstep. Staying true to their improv roots, CC+P invokes the talent around them at every show (including you, the members of the audience) to create a truly unique experience.
A friend to the music universe at large, CC+P's has been quite at home preforming in jam-band festivals, EDM shows, punk clubs, hip-hop showcases, and even jazz weekends. So grab your glowsticks, favorite flannel, fancy Adidas, or what ever you rock to get your flow on, and get ready to dance your ass off!
